I condole with the families who lost their loved ones with the recent lethal injection persecution in China. While I was reading the papers at the gym earlier, another Filipina is facing a possible death penalty in Malaysia.

She is Aida Dizon Garcia, 51, a lecturer from Quezon City, who was caught with almost 12 kg of cannabis or marijuana last year of November while on her way inside a bus from Kuala Lumpur. She was at Thailand prior to arriving here in Malaysia as a tourist. According to the news, she pleaded not guilty. As she couldn’t afford to hire a translator and a lawyer, the Malaysian government gave her one.
