Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus

Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus have a lot of in common:
  • They are both twenties.
  • They are both child stars.
  • They both can sing
  • They are women?
Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus
Yet, the parallelism of their fate is not with their talents nor their gender, but on how they present themselves in music and publicity. To tell you honestly, I love Miley - her singing pitchy prowess and her passion that led her to this current misery. I won't be a hypocrite and judge her that we don't feel for her but there are certain boundaries that you need to set especially when the borderline between art and cheap-to-almost-free public pornography are compared.

Ariana is compared to Whitney Houston on how she delivers her diction. She can also perform a whistle register, comparing to another singer, Mariah Carey. I can finish my whole shift at work listening to her new album, Yours Truly, and not knowing that I am listening to a young diva, thinking it was Mariah.

Recently, Miley collaborated with Terry Richardson using a compact digital camera. I don't need to compare pictures of them, you be the judge.

Work B**ch

Britney is back. The video of her new single, Work B**ch was released yesterday.

Okay, I admit. She still cannot sing but the EDM effects that harmonized her voice added punk to the music. And at last, her stylist got it right, again. As far as her record goes, this is the best look she has gotten so far, yet.

Although in the course of time from Baby, One More Time, she has been lacking in moving her booty when it comes to dancing. I guess the more she adds number to her age, the less graceful she becomes.

Very pop and better than Applause. End of story.

Megan Young and Devina DeDiva

The moment I saw her post shared by my friend on Facebook, the rush from my chest to my norepinephrine receptors were awaken, swarming my brain if I should be on fight, flight or freeze mode; and yet, I fought.

It is very uncalled for someone calling 'someone' a toiler cleaner especially when you generalize a particular race. Racism is not so in in this generation, girl. You will get hate exponentially compared what you wrote on your timeline.

By the time of this writing, her post was taken down or she deleted it, who hell cares? Nevertheless, the screenshot prevails and I can be, Filipinos can be, if you must say, revengeful and demeaning when you degrade our proud race.

Congratulations! You are an overnight celebrity!
