Philips GoGear from Tradeport

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="343" caption="Philips GoGear"]Philips GoGear from Tradeport[/caption]

Lucky, because I received a three-hundred peso worth of Starbucks gift certificate without any sweat by just adhering to their theme. Anyway, I should look good since I emcee'd the event. LOL

I saw the small gift-wrapped box on our nook when I arrived home after doing some fun hosting with Logica AU team Thanksgiving Party at Elbow Room, Metrowalk.

I have been listening to Mo Twister's Good Times With Mo Podcast ever since it started though there were times that I failed to call and butt in because I was not in front of any computer or my mobile phone has no sufficient battery to watch the podcast live. I just, then, download it from iTunes.

Called in twice and been on air (which in fact, I enjoyed talking with Marc Nelson just this Monday). I know for a fact that when you get yourself on air, I will receive a free Philips GoGear MP3 Player 2GB from Tradeport. When you check their site, this retails around 2 thousand pesos!

Tradeport is the 1st eMall where you can enjoy doing online shopping conveniently and safely. What's nice is, their shipping fee is very minimal compared to those on eBay.

Their delivery service is very friendly, too because they will call you in advance before they deliver the product. Making sure that there will be someone you have assigned, in case the recipient is not around.

This group tours around to world to spice up female and gay fantasies. Now, tell me, where can I borrow a good 70-300 2.8 VR Nikon lens so I can persuade myself to watch this?

When Should You Take Whey Protein?

[caption id="attachment_2418" align="alignleft" width="200" caption="Dymatize Elite Whey Protein Isolate"]Whey Protein Isolate[/caption]

Most body builders, athletes and gym enthusiasts know the importance of protein in their daily diet. Protein, when broken down in the GI tract, is converted to different various smaller units which are called amino acids. This is like the food of your muscles so it can  grow and repair after your workout.

With the normal routine, this is your ideal protein intake:

[bullet_list]

  • Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg.

  • Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gms.

[/bullet_list]

Of course, this varies for women, lactating and pregnant women, children and those who have a more active lifestyle. I have broken it down into more specific categories:

[bullet_list]

  • Inactive - 0.4 X body weight

  • Occasional exerciser - 0.5 to 0.75 X body weight

  • Adult athlete - 0.6 to 0.9 X body weight

  • Teenage athlete - 0.8 to 0.9 X body weight

  • Adult building muscle mass - 0.7 to 0.9 X body weight

  • Athlete undergoing calorie restrictions - 0.8 to 0.9 X body weight

[/bullet_list]

I have been researching recently about this stuff since I am currently on a goal to reach 12% of body fat while maintaining my weight at 150 lbs. While I was having some discussions about the people who work at the gym and those who lift everyday, they have different points of views when it should be taken. After a fair amount of Google-ing, these were the common results:

[bullet_list]

  • As soon as you wakeup (not just in the morning because some people work at night).

  • Within 30 minutes after your workout. Your body still burns calories even you're resting. This is very crucial as your body starts to hunt for food.

  • Before sleep. This is best taken when your whey protein is mixed with casein like milk. When you are at total rest, this is the stage where your body repairs itself. With the help of casein protein, your body slowly digests the food intake making sure that protein is well-distributed along the hours of your rest.

[/bullet_list]

Personally, I have been doing the second point over the past years, and I realized that a serving of 20-24 grams of whey protein is not sufficient with my daily lifestyle and that includes the protein I intake from fish, eggs, meat and other sources. Recently, I have been doing the third one, too, along with the former.

Just remember, do not exceed! This brings more stress to your liver especially if you do not intake sufficient water intake. Besides, not all of it could be digested and absorbed by the body. When you intake more than the amount you needed, this goes to waste - an example is skin breakout like pimples at your back and shoulders.

GTWM - Carla Humphries

[caption id="attachment_2411" align="alignleft" width="199" caption="Carla Humphries"]Carla Humphries FHM Philippines January 2011 Cover[/caption]

I have been tuning to Good Times with Mo Podcast ever since it started. Though it was my first time to listen to it live last Friday. The show featured Carla Humphries, the cover of FHM's January issue. Girl, i know right? Pfft.

Whenever I call radio stations and it is open for these kinds of talks, often, I ask the question, 'Have you ever had a gay sexual encounter/relationship before?". And Carla Humphries was not an exception.

Here is my less-than-2-minute-conversation with her. It could have been shorter if Mo didn't make her more comfortable with the question addressed to her. I guess, what you see in the cover is not her personality.

Insurance Advisor

You work hard to take care of your family - to provide them with a home, a comfortable lifestyle and with the means to achieve their goals.

Maintaining this level of financial security for your family is a significant responsibility that requires careful planning. But, have you stopped to consider what would happen if you are no longer able to contribute to your family's financial well-being? How much would they have to live in comfort should something happen to you? Would they be in a position to cover your final expenses? Could they maintain their lifestyle - or even their home? How would this impact their plans for the future?

Life insurance is designed to address these concerns by offering financial protection for your family - and peace of mind for you - in the event of the unexpected.

As her advisor, she'll be able to provide you with a wide range of life insurance products to match your particular needs, and your budget. She will answer your questions - and give you the information you need to help you make an informed decision. For example, did you know that the amount of coverage you choose is paid-out to your beneficiaries completely tax-free, ensuring those you care about receive the full benefit of this protection?

Ensure your family's continued financial security. You may reach Clarisse Aeaea B. Mallari at 0917-5354895 / 0920-9383920 to set up a time to discuss your options.

Jellies Dancing Sea Fairies

Upon visiting Manila Ocean Park yesterday with my family, a newly opened gallery (since the last time I visited) was available for viewing upon Php 150 entrance. I asked my brother to pay for my ticket since it was like his birthday celebration as he turns 22 this Thursday.

For real, it was worth visiting although the place is small. I think it is available for rent for events as there was a DJ booth, side lounges and a center bar available.

Manila Ocean Park

I know that I have been on hiatus recently. I guess too much gym-ratting affects how I post articles here.

Anyway, my sister got her tangible points from Globe which she exchanged for tickets at Oceania, Manila Ocean Park at Roxas Boulevard.
